BAL COTTAGE
A delightful rural base for four plus, (2 double bedrooms + folding single bed), Bal Cottage has a spacious upstairs living room with stunning views on each side. Two ground floor bedrooms, each with 4’6” double bed and hand wash basin, also an excellent shower and separate toilet in this part of the cottage, which is accessed by stairs down from the lounge.
The wide bay window facing west is perfect for viewing an often spectacular
sunset and the east facing window affords more views across fields and moorland.
The library area and gallery at one end, overlook the ground floor kitchen/dining room.
Kitchen/Dining Room
Bal Cottage kitchen with granite fireplace.

The kitchen has a wood block floor and well equipped cooking area, which includes a microwave oven, gas cooker, with 4-burner hob, main oven and grill/2nd oven), 4-slot electric toaster, cafetière, teapot and plentiful supply of cookware and tableware.
The solid elm dining table seats up to eight. We favour recycling of all suitable materials and there are containers for Glass, Paper & Tins, plus bins for compost and non-recyclable domestic waste.
The massive, original fireplace with its granite supports and lintel is still in place as a reminder of earlier days. We are reluctantly having to say goodbye to the solid fuel stove still visible in the photo, which is being replaced by a more environmentally friendly and efficient gas fired system.

Lounge

The spacious upstairs living room has picture windows on two sides including a wide bay-window facing west, perfect for viewing the often spectacular sunsets.
Well furnished, with a comfortable old fashioned three-piece suite, side tables, a card table and stacking chairs, well stocked library and book shelves, plus a Morsø Squirrel multi-fuel stove, (coal and/or logs), for cosy evenings at home.
48" HD TV, DVD player, and stereo VHF/AM radio with CD player.
